Come to light in 1993 from an idea of Oreste Vigorito, one of the pioneers of wind energy in Italy, IVPC Group has developed until today Wind Farms amounting to approximately 1035 MW, or 1171 wind turbines located in seven Italian Regions. During the last few years, the company went through several corporate changes and at the present time IVPC Group directly owns 271.8 MW and manages wind farms operation and maintenance for about 700 MW.

THE MAIN ACTIVITY IS THE PRODUCTION OF ELECTRICITY FROM WIND POWER SOURCE
“Of all the forces of nature, I should think the wind contains the largest amount of motive power---that is, power to move things. As yet, no very successful mode of controlling, and directing the wind, has been discovered; and that, naturally, it moves by fits and starts---now so gently as to scarcely stir a leaf, and now so roughly as to level a forest. As yet, the wind is an untamed and unharnessed force; and quite possibly one of the greatest discoveries hereafter to be made, will be the taming and harnessing of the wind”
Abraham Lincoln “Discoveries and Inventions” (1860)
Always careful in respecting nature, the environment and the towns surrounding the wind farms, one of the main objectives of the IVPC Group is to integrate the wind turbines as best possible into the landscape and to give the local communities an important role in participating in the projects and in sharing the economic benefits gained for the energy production.
The average annual production of electricity from renewable energy sources exceeds 500 million kWh. Thanks to the electricity generated, each year IVPC Group avoids the emission of 300,000 tons of carbon dioxide.
